Omnix is the next step in the evolution of movement.
True omni-directional motion is defined as the ability to produce controlled compound directional movements simultaneously. Omnix technology will allow devices, mechanisms, and transporters that previously operated in only linear modes and applications meaning backwards to forwards and vice versa to move in lateral, circular, and elliptical directions, navigating rough terrain and even inclines with ease.
In effect, Omnix signals the arrival of true freedom of movement.
Omnix hasn't completely redesigned wheels as we presently know and accept them, but rather shattered the perceived limitations of standardized, restrictive movement. Omnix introduces a new approach to movement: complete freedom of motion. Here are a few groundbreaking innovations:
- An omni wheel consists of free wheeling, elliptical rollers arranged around the hub at a fixed angle (usually 45-degs)
- Omni wheels are fixed and not steered. Each of the four wheels is independently driven to achieve unrestricted transporter motion
- An Omni-transporter can rotate about its axis, which allows for desired position quickly with less maneuverin
- Omni wheels exceed weight capacities of conventional wheels creating more advantages in designs.
